Thoughtful Thursday & Rules of Love

ON THE BLOG

RULES OF LOVE

I am currently on vacation with my family so my thoughts will be brief today.

On the plane ride, I finished reading Jay Shetty's book, 8 Rules of Love.

There are so many good things in there.

I am still pondering on them.

If you get a chance, I highly recommend it.

He shares 8 rules of love that fall into four categories.

Solitude: Learning to Love Yourself

Compatibility: Learning to Love Others

Healing: Learning to Love Through the Struggle

Connection: Learning to Love Everyone.

Love isn't just something that just happens to us but it is part of who we are.

As we take the time to remove the layers of ego, judgement, and blame, we can discover love within.

Learning to love ourselves and understanding that we are all children of God opens us up to love others.

Loving and accepting ourselves allows us to better accept others where they are in their earthly journey.

Love invites healing and connection in our relationships.

What is one small thing you can do today to begin nurturing the love within you?
