Thoughtful Thursday & Ho'oponopono

ON THE BLOG

HO’OPONOPONO

Not too long ago, I learned of an ancient Hawaiian healing practice of Ho'oponopono.

The process is simple and can be used anytime you are wanting to feel love and peace.

The first step is to recognize that you are responsible for the life experience you are creating for yourself.

Then you repeat the following mantra.

"I'm sorry, forgive me, thank you, I love you."

The idea is that we all have negative thought patterns and memories from the past that create an unconscious and clouded lens through which we view life.

By apologizing to yourself, you can let go of the thought patterns and memories that are perpetuating negativity in your life.

Forgiving yourself invites a change of perspective and healing.

This allows you to open your heart to love of self, others, and God.

Removing the layers of ego so you can remember who you truly are.

A divine child of Heavenly Parents who love you unconditionally.

I love to picture the Savior sitting next to me, with His arm around me, as I repeat this mantra.

"I'm sorry, forgive me, thank you, I love you."

He knows my struggles, my pains, my insecurities, and my imperfections.

He suffered ALL so He could succor ALL through His grace.

This healing practice is a way to take back the responsibility of creating your own life with intention and purpose while inviting forgiveness, love, and peace.

Give it a try and let me know what you think.
