Thoughtful Thursday & Letting Go of Regrets

ON THE BLOG

LETTING GO OF REGRETS

Have you ever regretted something or wished your life was different?

By understanding and letting go of these lies, we can start living with intention, purpose, peace, and joy.

One of the biggest lies we tell ourselve is that regret is necessary or important.

We actually don’t have to regret our past to live a wonderful life.

We don’t have the ability to go back in time and change anything and there is no advantage to wishing we could.

Regret doesn’t move or motivate us to do or be better.

It doesn’t make what we did right or wrong.

All regret does is punish us and keep us from being present in our life.

It keeps us from creating and living a life we love.

Regret limits our impact and our influence for good in the world.

It is not effective and just makes us feel terrible.

Peace comes when we learn to accept what is and let go of this terrible lie.

Compassion for ourselves and commitment to learning from our experiences and mistakes are what will move us forward.

I invite you to consider a story that you have been telling yourself that weighs you down with regret.

What would your life be like if you good re-write this story and let go of the feelings of regret?

What could you create?

What could you experience?

Who could you become?
