Thoughtful Thursday & The Big Lie
As humans, we all have a tendency to question our worth.
This leads us to define ourselves by things like our job, appearance, accomplishments, kid’s choices, finances, the things not done, mistakes, callings, thoughts, or emotions.
When we do this, we can lose sight of who we really are and begin to believe that some people are better than others.
We start defining others in the same way.
That there is a hierarchy to love, to value, and to worth.
This is a BIG FAT LIE.
We are all children of God.
That is who we are.
We are all here on earth having our own unique human experience so that we can learn, grow, and become.
We don't earn our value or worth.
We don't earn God's love.
We were born with ALL of it.
What would the world be like if we truly believed that EVERYONE is a child of God and no one is better than anyone else
One of my favorite questions that I ask myself that I learned from author, Chad Ford, is:
"How can I see one person as a person today?"
Could you ask yourself this question when someone does something that you believe is wrong?
When someone cuts you off in traffic?
When you disagree with someone?
When you look at yourself in the mirror?
Something to think about.
