Thoughtful Thursday & It’s Possible

ON THE BLOG

IT’S POSSIBLE

This last weekend I had the opportunity to give some guest presentations at a women's retreat.

I was asked to share some of the concepts I teach to a group of women who happened to all be sisters and sisters-in-law.

They were having their annual sister's retreat.

Fun fact: I am their aunt.

It was so much fun to be with such amazing women doing something I love--teaching.

I have been thinking about this experience a lot over the last few days.

There were so many good things about this experience.

Here are some of my thoughts about it.

Women are incredibly strong, although we tend to doubt ourselves and our abilities.

We hold ourselves to high standards and are often our own harshest critics.

However, when we come together in a safe and accepting space, something magical happens.

We nurture, lift up, encourage and love one another.

It can be difficult to share our vulnerabilities, but when we do, we give ourselves the chance to heal.

Sometimes, life doesn't go as we planned or hoped it would.

But what if this messiness is where the real growth happens?

What if joy can be found there?

What if your painful experiences are what connect you to others?

You are stronger than you think.

It is possible that everything is working for you instead of against you.

Consider opening yourself up to the possibility of being wrong about what you have been believing about yourself or your life.

What if the possibilities are endless?
