Thoughtful Thursday & A Love Letter
Dear Reader,
Today, I want to remind you of something powerful and profoundly true: You are a divine child of heavenly parents who love you unconditionally. This truth is the foundation of your existence, and it's crucial to remember, especially during challenging times.
The Human Experience
As a divine son or daughter, you've come to Earth to have a human experience. This means you're going to do human things – make mistakes, face challenges, and sometimes feel lost. But here's the beautiful part: you can do all things through Christ, who strengthens you.
Redefining Repentance
The Bible dictionary offers a beautiful definition of repentance:
"The Greek word of which this is the translation denotes a change of mind, a fresh view about God, about oneself, and about the world. Since we are born into conditions of mortality, repentance comes to mean a turning of the heart and will to God,."
I believe that a significant part of repentance is changing the view we have about ourselves. It's about understanding the truth of our existence. We are children of a mighty and loving God. We aren't here to fail; we're here to experience, learn, and become. It's a process, and that's okay.
Balancing Perspectives
While it's essential to maintain an eternal perspective, sometimes we need to shorten our lens and focus on the next step. Concentrate on what you can control in this very moment:
Remind yourself of who you are and whose you are.
Redirect your thoughts to more positive ones.
Take care of yourself through simple actions like going for a walk, taking a shower, or listening to uplifting music.
Embracing Self-Compassion
Imagine a toddler learning to walk. We don't get angry or berate them for falling; we cheer them on, help them up, and shower them with love. You need to remember to do this for yourself. We're all still learning how to walk – to walk after Him.
A Message of Love and Encouragement
You've got this!
Remember, you are loved beyond measure. We're all on this journey together, learning and growing with each step. Be patient with yourself, embrace your divine nature, and keep moving forward.
I love you, and more importantly, your Heavenly Parents love you. You are capable of amazing things!
